"Created by Artists, for Artists"

Welcome to The Vaudeville Consortium!

Based in Brisbane, The Vaudeville Consortium was founded in 2018 by Scarlet Tinkabelle.

Embodying their motto "Created by Artists, for Artists", the highly regarded and award winning team of teachers of The Vaudeville Consortium offer tutelage in a wide array of performance styles, for students at all levels of experience. Also on offer is a polished performance troupe and regular monthly shows.

Employing classically trained performers alongside those who learnt their skills on Brisbane’s own burlesque stages. TVC proudly provides mentorship in a range of specialised arts, including feather fans, fire play, tap, jazz, and ballet, not to forget traditional and neo burlesque styles.

The Vaudeville Consortium's Tutors pride themselves on breaking the mould and stretching the imagination both on their own and their students art forms. In doing so, they create a nurturing environment for growth and creativity.

Join the team  for a class, a hens, as a performer or as an audience member and you'll forever be part of the TVC Family Culture.

What TVC Stands For

At its core, The Vaudeville Consortium (TVC) is built on the principle of artists supporting artists. This means actively choosing to uplift creative communities, invest locally, and contribute to spaces and organisations that nurture inclusion, connection, and creative expression. Wherever possible, TVC seeks to support local communities and charitable organisations that align with these values, recognising that a thriving arts scene is inseparable from the wellbeing of the communities that surround it.

Community Commitment

The Vaudeville Consortium proudly uses the Communify Paddington Studio because it reflects our commitment to giving back to the community that supports us. Choosing this space allows us to invest directly in a local organisation that prioritises inclusion, creativity, and social connection. The studio provides an accessible, welcoming environment that aligns with our values, and by working there we help ensure community-focused spaces continue to thrive and remain available for artists, collaborators, and local residents.
